Rivera was born in 1940 from the mind of Giuseppe de Corato's son, Sebastiano, with the visionary spirit of creating a Puglia label that could compete with the great national and international wines. Located in the countryside of Andria, on the plateau between the Murgia hills and the Adriatic Sea, the Rivera estates are a symbol of the history and agricultural development of an entire territory. 75 hectares of property, trained with spurred cordon and guyot, with a high density of vines per hectare and low unit production, cultivated according to sustainable agriculture protocols. A winemaking project that focuses entirely on quality, to best express the terroirs from which the company's grapes originate.

The hilly, limestone-based soils and exposure to the cooler winds that come from beyond the Adriatic Sea, combined with the characteristics of the slow-ripening and late-ripening native vines, make the Castel del Monte area an example of how the generosity of Apulian wine production can be balanced and enhanced by surprising freshness, elegance and longevity. On the estate’s land, typical Apulian white and red grape vineyards are grown, in the Primitivo, Negroamaro and Fiano varieties, accompanied by equally international-minded vineyards, such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon.
